THE TOUR OF LONDON

In September 2002 I visited central London for five days in order to see the historic sites and museums.
I stayed in South Kensington, which is a convenient location to all central London Underground lines.
Here are the main sites I visited, listed by day:

Victoria and Albert Museum, Royal Mews (coaches) and Buckingham Palace Buckingham Palace

Westminster Abbey and St. Paul's Cathedral St Paul's Cathedral

Tower of London and National Gallery of Art Tower of London and royal crown

The British Museum Rosetta stone; can you crack it?

Kensington Palace and Science Museum Kensington Palace gates

There's a lot to see in these places, so don't hope to go to more than a couple of sites each day,
even if you zip between them by the London Underground as I did.
